Celebrating Milestones at the Gliding Australia Board Meeting
The Gliding Australia Board held a face-to-face meeting last weekend in Melbourne, creating a friendly setting for discussing ideas and bonding among board members. The in-person meeting provided an invaluable opportunity for the board members to engage in meaningful discussions, brainstorm new ideas, and address critical issues concerning the future of gliding in Australia. The face-to-face interaction allowed for stronger connections, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration that is sometimes challenging to achieve through virtual platforms.
The face-to-face meeting allowed us to celebrate a significant milestone for a beloved member of the Gliding Australia team, Tanya Loriot, who has just marked up 20 years working for the organisation. Moreover, this gathering provided an opportunity for Carol Baran and Fiona Northey from the office to meet the board members in person, some, for the first time.
Unfortunately, Tanya was unable to attend the meeting in person; however, the Board members made sure her presence was felt by including her in the meeting via Zoom. To honour Tanya’s contributions, the board members expressed their gratitude with a virtual celebration, commemorating her two decades of service with the presentation of a custom plaque.
Tanya’s commitment to the organization, personal contact with so many members, and continuous efforts have made a lasting impact on us all.
Tanya’s dedication and enthusiasm have been much appreciated over the past two decades.
