WeGlide is here!
The WeGlide-hosted national decentralised gliding competition has commenced!
For those who are not yet up to speed, WeGlide is an online platform where you can share and analyse your flights with fellow glider pilots around Australia and from around the world. It not only helps build a stronger gliding community but also helps you become a better pilot.
This platform has been chosen by Gliding Australia to replace the OLC as the national online competition and there are some great features that will let you share and keep up to date on everyone’s flights. In case you missed it, and you want to know more, we held an online webinar with Matthew Scutter and Moritz Althaus, WeGlide developer, that answers all your questions and shows how to get the most out of WeGlide. Catch up here:
In honour of one of Australia’s most successful international pilots and one of gliding’s true gentlemen, Ingo Renner, we have named our new competition the “Ingo Renner Cup”. Ingo won four World Gliding Championships, and also achieved several world records.
Some more information:
- The rankings for the Ingo Renner Cup can be found here.

- The rankings for the National Club League will be found here once finalised.

So, if you haven’t signed up yet, it’s easy, get on board and get sharing your flights!
