Instructors are trained in accordance with the Gliding Australia approved Glider Pilot Certificate (GPC) syllabus and manuals.
The grades of instructors are:
Air Experience Instructor – may carry out introductory training
Level 1 – instructs under the supervision of a Level 2 or above and conduct all training
Level 2 – supervises club daily flying operations and may send pilots on their first solo
Level 3 – trains instructors, checks club operations, member of the Operations Panel
Instructors are volunteers and unpaid.
