World Gliding Championships: Australia’s Teams for 2025 and 2026
Australia’s line-up for the 2025 and 2026 World Gliding Championships is locked in. With strong teams selected across multiple classes, we’re looking ahead to another impressive showing on the world stage.
2025 World Gliding Championships – Tabor, Czech Republic
This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the largest ever, with 116 pilots competing, making it one of the biggest World Gliding Championships to date.
Tabor won’t be unfamiliar ground for some of our pilots. James Nugent flew the Junior World Gliding Championships at Tabor in 2022, while Matthew Scutter competed there during the Nationals in 2020. That experience combined with a team of highly accomplished competition pilots gives Australia a solid foundation for success.
