Going solo is just the first step in your gliding journey. New solo pilots can work towards achieving their A, B and C certificates. These certificates are recognised at all clubs across Australia, and help you to progress to flying cross country and towards achieving your Glider Pilot Certifcate.
Your A Certificate requires you to complete 5 solo flights, as well as a theory exam and some refresher flights with an instructor.
You can obtain your B Certificate when you have completed 15 solo flights, 1 of which have been 30 minutes duration and a theory exam.
You can obtain your C Certificate when you have completed 20 solo flights with 2 over 1 hour long, an outlanding check and a few other requirements.
