Vale Doug Flockhart
Dear Members,
I am deeply saddened to advise that our inaugural CEO, Doug Flockhart, passed away last Saturday, 8th November.
Doug was one of those special, inspirational people that left an indelible mark on anyone lucky enough to have known and worked with him. Doug’s warmth and passion for gliding was always evident and he created an environment of cohesion and inclusiveness. Doug came to GAus at a time of great change and helped us work through many challenges. His time with GAus was for a little less than two years, but his contribution was enormous.
Our thoughts are with Doug’s family and friends, in particular his son Bodhi and partner, Alison.
They say only the good die young – fly high, fly fast Doug.
